Hi Kevin,

> I changed permissions as suggested by that thread. Can you try now?

Thanks! I tried again but unfortunately that was not it :(

However, thanks for trying!

I am a little perplexed about where the problem lies. Last night I spent
some time looking at the clone I created using the GIT protocol. I used
"git show" to verify that git could recognize the object names for the
commit and blob that it failed on below. It found them no problem.

got c72cb0ead36e24c0c55333bed6fd93beb60789c2
error: Unable to find 65490ecde1521555301edf0e6b3fa485399c6163 under
http://source.mvista.com/git/linux-davinci-2.6.git
Cannot obtain needed blob 65490ecde1521555301edf0e6b3fa485399c6163
while processing commit dae1ecd90f80ba2615348dfb4befea2003d38480

Also, I even ran a full "git fsck --full" and this did not return any
issues. So it appears that the git tree is intact. May be this is simply
an issue with using HTTP?

Would you be able to run a "git fsck --full" on your side to make sure
you don't see any issues?

I don't expect you to sink any time into this, so if the "git fsck"
looks good, may be we will just have to live with this.

By the way, I even downloaded git v1.5.5 and this still did not work
using HTTP.

Cheers
Jon
