[BG] DVSPB stands for "Digital Video Software Production Bundle". The two DVSPB packages do not include a board. If you want the board, you order the Eval Module. > * DM6467 Digital Video Evaluation Module - USD 1995.10 [BG] Board only... > * DVSPB w/MontaVista Pro Linux - USD 8995.45 [BG] One seat of Montavista Pro > * DVSPB w/MontaVista Pro Linux, CCStudio and XDS560R Emulator - USD > 12995.65 [BG] One seat of Montavista Pro, 1 seat of CCS, 1 XDS560R Emulator > > The below is needed if one wants to do development related to the DSP in > the DM6467, right? > * Code Composer Studio IDE bundled with Annual Subscription - USD 995 [BG] If you wanted to purchase the components "a la carte" then yes, that's what you would need (as well as an emulator). Note that CCS is specially priced at $995 ONLY for the month of October. Normally it would cost $3595. > > Is any of the below devices supported by linux-tools? [BG] Currently CCS runs only in a Windows environment. Our eventual move to CCS4 (currently in beta) will add support for Linux development since CCS4 is based on the Eclipse IDE. > Are there any > significant differences between the 510-series and the 560-series? [BG] The 560 emulators are much faster in general (download speed, single-step speed, etc.). Personally I use the Blackhawk USB560bp. The bp stands for "bus powered" as it is powered from USB and does not require a separate power adapter. It's a fast, convenient emulator. Also, it supports 1.8V emulation as well as the ARM adaptive clocking of the JTAG. > * XDS510 USB Plus JTAG Emulator (SDI) - USD 1895.10 > * Blackhawk XDS560 JTAG PCI Emulator - USD 2999.15 > * Blackhawk XDS560 USB Emulator - USD 2999.15 > > My scenario is this: > I want to run linux on the ARM-processor, and I want to be able to encode > two to four MPEG4-streams at the same time (sourcedata will be > timemultiplexed through VLYNQ from an FPGA). [BG] I'll let someone else comment on the codec streams. A tip for using VLYNQ: don't ever do a READ operation with the CPU. > > -- > Thomas Langås > > _______________________________________________ > Davinci-linux-open-source mailing list > Davinci-linux-open-source@linux.davincidsp.com > http://linux.davincidsp.com/mailman/listinfo/davinci-linux-open-source _______________________________________________ Davinci-linux-open-source mailing list Davinci-linux-open-source@linux.davincidsp.com http://linux.davincidsp.com/mailman/listinfo/davinci-linux-open-source
