but i would like to say that, montavista linux does not have such option in 
menuconfig
 ->  [ ]   Enable support for printk  ( i.e CONFIG_PRINTK is not set.)

Try adding “quiet” to you u-boot bootargs variable.  This will suppress the 
kernel output messages and prevent messages from appearing on the console when 
you plug-in a USB device.

also when i plug/un-plug the USB mass storage there is debugging messages
