Alok, DaVinci Staging kernel tree on Arago is tested by TI teams on Davinci platforms and hence an alternative recommendation.
Trying it with the arago kernel might give us an idea of the original usb device getting struck issue, once the issue is clearly known we can work toward in helping you on whether a power reset is needed. Having said that I have not seen that need so far (having dealt with DaVinci usb for all these years). regards swami ________________________________ From: Alok Kumar [aku...@cernium.com] Sent: Wednesday, June 09, 2010 7:58 AM To: Subbrathnam, Swaminathan; davinci-linux-open-source@linux.davincidsp.com Subject: RE: Reseting USB port power Yes, I am using Git tree maintained by Kevin. Could you please explain, is other one (DaVinci staging tree at Arago) suppose to be better? Does this gives capability to reset power for USB port? Can you try with the DaVinci staging tree at Arago that would give us a pointer on probable cause. regards swami ________________________________ From: Alok Kumar [aku...@cernium.com] Sent: Wednesday, June 09, 2010 7:47 AM To: Subbrathnam, Swaminathan; davinci-linux-open-source@linux.davincidsp.com Subject: RE: Reseting USB port power swami, I am using kernel 2.6.30 from the davinci git tree with Davinci 6446. We don’t have any hardware discrete attach to USB power supply and we are looking for SW way to reset the USB power supply or something which does equivalent. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
