Some warehouse folks are trying to create a index on a table that is
populated with 300 million rows. They keep running out of tempspace when
attempting to create the index. On the mainframe world, we could do
something like "defer yes" and use the recover utility to build the index.
Are there any workarounds like this in the UDB arena? Or do we just have
to keep throwing more DASD at the tempspace? I'm sure that DB2 would have
been more effecient if the index existed at load time as well. But
unfortunately this index was not known then.

Thanks in advance.
