The limit is set by the hardware.  I have seen people talk about 16 and I think
32 cpus on the box.
The licensing is by CPU by the way.

Yes if the DB2 Version are different. V6 and V7 for example.  The principal
gotcha is 1) You'll have two different DAS defined and effectively only one can
be active.  Also, you'd have logical nodes defined ar the eee level.

No! In this case the Version is identical and you can't do this.  You can have
two different versions if you install them in different  paths and home profiles
but not two different copies of the same version.
