Happy new year from your LAADB2UG steering committee... we do have a great event scheduled for January 3rd, it is sponsored by Compuware so we will have an all day activity with lunch ... We are flying a great speaker from Denver, he is Hugh Lococo, Product Consultant and has several years as a technical consultant working with DB2, he is specialist in problem determination and system performance. Hugh' presentation is on 'Living in a DB2 World'. The discussion will be focused on understanding DB2, perceptions, problems, solutions. . It's a lively presentation (perfect for Jan 3rd) and actually pokes a little fun at DBA's and Applications and then follows through with solutions. We plan to make this an interactive session, so if you have V7, or any previous version problems that would like to discuss, come in and stump Hugh.. Hugh just did this presentation to 60 DBA's and application programmers at Iowa and ended with a standing ovation.
This is a must to attend session, and is part of the session sequences that we have planned for DB2 / UDB focussing on V7 performance, migration, and implementation. So please plan to be there... There is no charge for this event.
