Hello All, I'm new to the list, so I thought I would introduce myself..
I'm the SAP Basis Administrator for a new implementation on AIX 5L and DB2 UDB EE 7.2. My company will be operating in a 24/7 environment once we bring all of our companies online in January 2003. Mid-December SAP announced that it would not be continuing kernel support for 32-Bit versions of AIX and DB2 on April 1, 2003. Therefore, we decided to take the plunge into the unknown and install the latest versions of OS, DB, and R/3 to avoid a forced upgrade 4 months after we go-live. It would be nice to know your experiences with DB2 UDB 7.2 EEE. I know many of the benefits of using 7.2 as opposed to 6.1 (SAP and IBM tout them incessantly), but are there any 'gotchas' I need to be aware of? I apologize if this request seems to be vague, but this is my first implementation of SAP with DB2 that hasn't been on OS/400. Unfortunately, there seems to be a world of difference between DB2 UDB and DB2/400. Thanks!
