Are you sure this is the reason??  I thought that the dumpfile parm. was introduced in V6 but did not exist in V5.2.  Of course, I've been known to be off the map before.

Load command I'm using is -

LOAD FROM c:\dir\loadfile.ixf of IXF
MODIFIED BY dumpfile = c:\dir\dumpfile.dmp

This doesn't work because the 'dumpfile' parameter is only valid
for ASCII (ASC and DEL) files, not for IXF. Even in version 7 :).
It seems the assumption is that if you're using an IXF file, there
aren't _supposed_ to be any rejected rows (are you getting any?).
