Rochester, NY - (May 10, 2002) - DGI, the industry leader in performance
management tools for IBM DB2 UDB*, announced today the release of the latest
version of Flight Deck, version 1.2. Flight Deck, the first application of its
kind to integrate DB2 UDB control and management through a web browser, includes
new features, highlighted by the power to monitor performance data across
multiple DB2 environments. This release also marks the advent of Flight Deck
for DB2 on Microsoft Windows platforms.

DGI has enhanced Flight Deck with the ability to monitor multiple databases
across multiple nodes/instances at a glance. Flight Deck now includes a
user-customizable window in which DB2 and operating system statistics for
multiple instances, databases, and nodes can be compared on one screen.

"In today's business, database administrators are required to monitor and manage
performance data from many databases across multiple DB2 instances and nodes in
an instant," said Scott Hayes, president and founder of DGI. "The volume of
data that needs to be meticulously analyzed in order to troubleshoot bottlenecks
can be astounding. Flight Deck streamlines the detection of bottlenecks in the
system down to an instant." Hayes added, "Now the DBA can more quickly
determine where to apply the solution. Flight Deck will soon become the DBA's
best friend."

Another feature of the new version is advanced SQL statement search capability. Flight
Deck provides the option to search for all SQL statements that have been
executed against a table, regardless of whether an alias name or view was used. This
allows for more extensive and accurate search results, since the search is
not limited to the exact table name string.

This version of Flight Deck also supports DB2 UDB on Windows NT and Windows 2000
platforms. Flight Deck has been available for DB2 UDB on UNIX since its release
last year.

"We're thrilled to be able to provide such a powerful application for DBAs who
are using DB2 in Windows environments," stated Hayes. "They have been anxious
for this kind of performance management tool on this platform, and DGI has come
to their rescue."
