DO NOT USE DB2 V7.2 FIXPACK 7!!!! There was a bug in it & IBM is in the
process of fixing it. A new version of the fixpack will be posted later
today. We usually certify new fixpacks internally before we apply them.

Subject: [DB2EUG] DB2 v7.2 - Fixpack 6 or 7?

We are currently running DB2 v7.2 fixpack 5 on AIX. We are looking to
upgrade our WebSphere on AIX from v3.5.4 to v3.5.6, and the documentation
for WebSphere 3.5.6 strongly recommends running DB2 v7.2 fixpack 6.

Since fixpack 7 for DB2 v7.2 is available, is there any reason why we
should not upgrade straight to fp7 instead of fp6?

Thanks,
