Hi Francesco,
You cannot move containers to different a different location. You can workaround this with the redirect restore as you already know, or
exporting all the tables in the Tablespace (look at db2move utility+ IXF) and then drop recreate the tablespace... or in version 8 you will be able to add a new container in the new location and after drop the old one on the old location...
hope this helps

Hi Gurus,
I new chap in this list and i new in db2 database, too.
I would like to know if it's possible to move containers from a location to
another, not only with the "set tablespaces containers" command, strictly
during a database restore, but always.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you so much.
Best regards,
Francesco Borgoglio
