I have an table in the UDB EE environment with 5 indexes on it and I'm having trouble running RUNSTATS. The syntax I'm using is "RUNSTATS ON TABLE xxx.xxx AND INDEXES ALL SHRLEVEL CHANGE" When I try to run RUNSTATS, I get the SQL2314W message. The error says that you should issue a runstats for both the table and index. I thought that was what I was doing.
When I look at the stats_time on both syscat.indexes and syscat.tables for the objects involved after I issue the RUNSTAT's, they all have the same timestamp. So it appears that it is collecting statistics for both the tables and indexes.
