Hello list, I have a question about how to generate data for test environments. Say, for instance, you have a fullsize db, and are asked to generate a database a quarter of the size. Would you have to travel through the referential integrity and pull out related data? I would guess that could quickly get very complex.
I know there are tools you can use to generate data of this kind (DataBee, Princeton Softech), but I'd be very interested to hear what methods people use. Have a good weekend.
