Requirements (include but are not limited
to):
Candidate must have strong IBM mainframe background and understand technical
infrastructure components required to support application environments.
Candidate will be highly motivated DB2 DBA responsible for revamping the
corporate data structure to drive down cost and improve efficiency. The ideal
candidate must be able to analyze and understand existing architecture and
data models with a vision for improvement that builds a foundation for next
generation architecture. The candidate must have extensive experience with
DB2 DBMS technologies on OS390 and some familiarity with the distributed
databases (Oracle preferred). This candidate will be responsible for the
migration of data maintained in VSAM datasets, IMS and DB2 databases on the
mainframe, to Oracle databases on the UNIX platform. Additionally, the
candidate also should have extensive knowledge and experience with relational
database modeling. This role will interface with business users and other
development teams to define needs and develop solutions. Experience with
decision support systems or data warehousing is also desired.

REQUIREMENTS
|

Minimum
General Education
College Degree(s): Bachelor
Major:Computer Science or 7-10
years of equivalent experience
Experience/Skills:
5+ years DB2/OS390, DB2 Connect
5+ years of JCL, TSO, ISPF
Experience with Erwin, ER Studio, or other modeling software
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Experience in the following a plus:
Oracle, SQL Server, or UDB experience a plus
Experience in COBOL, CICS, or Assembler a plus.
Knowledge of PL/SQL desired
Knowledge of Unisys Mapper a plus
