In both instances it's a difficulty with accessing the file... Could the file end up being somehow tied to the quickstarter when OOo base opens? Are OOo Base and the quicksarter swapping data that they shouldn't be? Are we sure that this isn't simply a value mis-match that connects the .ODB file to the wrong API handler at run time? If this is simply a case of the file being opened by the wrong app, because the quickstarter is assuming something that isn't the case, and that the quickstarter knows enough to load OOo base, and not the actual program that the file became tied to, then the problem would appear invisible. I am starting to think this is more a problem with the quickstarter then OOo base. It may be time to go back and check the file bindings. This is just my guess.
