BC: The controls are automatically repositioned when they are set outside the
borders of the document which can be when many controls are used in the form. As
currently only issues are to be fixed with no UI relevance within target Ooo2.01
(am I up still to date?) we have several options:
We could silently change the size of the document and make the document just big
enough to keep all controls. The problem is that currently the Visual Area of
the document can neither be set nor queried via API, so some controls will be
vanishing outside the VisArea of the form document (see bug i45183). Another
problem is that the new size would not conform to any localized standard (like
the german “DIN Norm” which is important for printing (is printing relevant
for
forms?) – The user might not like that. Or is it possible to just duplicate
either the height or the width of the document to calculate the next
standardized size like with the german “DIN Norm”?
Probably I could solve the problem in two steps: First for target Ooo2.01
silently change the size of the document (which would certainly mean an
improvement all in all and later (in Ooo2.02) deliver a UI solution with a
warning messagebox and a synchronized VisArea.
BC->CJ: I hope you don't mind me to send the bug to you in order to make a
decision.
