When I apply few cws dba205b changes (mozab/bootstrap) and following patch (will attach), everything started to work. IOW following patch is about removing OUStringToOString & NS_NewNativeLocalFile stuff to work directly in UTF-16. Conversion to UTF-8 is wrong, because NS*Native* expects everything in native encoding (= currently used encoding in your operating system, MS_1250 works for me, UTF-8 not).
