------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Nov 5 04:10:31 -0800 2006 ------- To make an end-user application with Base, ability to easily hide unnecessary entries in the menu, tool bars, and the pane tasks is desired. Motivation: An operator who works with a database front-end application to brows or enter data does not need functionalities to modify an existing structure of database including tables, views, queries, forms, or reports. Current implementation offers all functionalities of Base to every user. One of the possible solutions: To prevent a user from breaking a customized application, OOo could have a feature to easily hide all entries of the menu and tool bars except the entries that will be needed to accomplish the tasks of the application and to additionally hide the pane tasks that allows a user to create a table, view, queries, from, and report. The settings could be saved in a document file of Base and could be retrieved from it when an operator loads the document file. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
