fs->nn: as talked about and agreed upon: Let's try to do this for 2.4. The
general idea is that the connection should be disposed when it is not used
anymore, and that the driver should discard the file at this point. Nowadays,
it's more reliable that connections are really closed/disposed when they're not
needed anymore than at the time when this issue was submitted :-\.
If this approach doesn't work, please tell me, and I'll assist in finding a
better entry point (or fixing the reasons why it doesn't work).
