Looking at it again ...
if ( pFieldType.get() && !pFieldType->bNullable || !pFieldDescr->IsNullable() )
Note that there are a pFieldType and a pFieldDescr, so in fact the proper patch
is replacing this with something like
if ( ( pFieldType.get() && !pFieldType->bNullable ) ||
!pFieldDescr->IsNullable() )
