The Query design change an OR criterion different from the point of
inserting.

Example:
    Criterion (Row) =  >= CURRENT_DATE
    Or (Row) = IS EMPTY

would be change in:
    Criterion (Row) = (>= CURRENT_DATE OR IS EMPTY)

To see what i mean:
-open attached PDF file

To get what i mean:
-open attached database
-edit Query1 in design view
-change Criterion in "dtEinsatzEnde" in
     Criterion (Row) =  >= CURRENT_DATE
     Or (Row) = IS EMPTY
-click on "Switch Design View On/Off twice
=>Criterion is changed in one row
=>The same result is if you save/and reopen the query.
