Hmm, the symbols for sql::SQLException seem to be present now in C/C++. I'm
somewhat lost here, I know too little about this Unix symbol stuff.

I assume the stack of the crash is still the same, indicating an uncaught 
exception?

Just wild guessing: Is C/OOo is built against the same stlport as C/C++?
