After the not so subtle hint on the dev-dbi list I am going to start firing off some material here. It is going to be fairly rough around the edges but it will get better, I promise.

I have started to doc what I have done in the hope that it is relatively easy to follow. I will send it as I create it so do not rely on it coming in in any particular order.

The fist bit you will get is a brief into to the DBDI from the point
of view of someone who wants to access a database ie what files need to
be loaded and where. For now we are assuming that the Postgres driver I
have _thrown_ together is the universal Database babel fish Driver called <foo>. This is because there are no other drivers out there at the moment although if there is a lot of interest in having more for development purposes on the DBDI I will hack together a MySQL one to keep us running.


Some of the code is only half finished ie We can connect and prepare but not execute and fetch.
