Hello -

While attempting to install DBI I receive the following error during
'make':

gcc -c -I/usr/local/include -O -DVERSION=\"1.14\" -DXS_VERSION
=\"1.14\" -fPIC -I../.. -Wall -Wno-comment -DDBI_NO_THREADS Pec
cpp: fork: Interrupted system call
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `Perl.o'

I am using the same version of gcc as was used for the PERL install,
however , gcc is mounted from another machine. The catch is that I have
not encountered this error while installing other modules or PERL itself.

What makes DBI differ to cause this error and how can I compensate for the
difference? I am reasonably confident that installing gcc on the machine,
rather than using a version mounted from another machine would fix this
error, but am also seeking everyone's opinion on the matter first.

Regards,
Chris
