DBI->connect("dbi:ODBC:MSQLTEST") or die DBI::errstr(); # or whatever
Nonetheless I am immediately suspect about this. What is the full
information on the DSN? More importantly have you verified this connection
with any external tools as well as providing a DSNless connect string to the
DBI?
Note that your error is from unixODBC so it is what is having problems with
"MSQLTEST". Not DBI.
