While trying to solve this very same problem I found a DBI module called
DBI:MSSQL
Unfortunately this module is no good for me as it only seems to compile
under Win32, but if you are trying to operate in ActivePerl under Win32 I
would give it a try.
I am trying to solve this problem under Linux to connect to MS SQL 2000 and
am having no luck.
I have tried things from easysoft, merants sequalink, sybperl, and none of
them seems to do the trick.
I believe the most hopeful of them yet looks like merants sequalink but I
can't get DBI:ODBC to "make test" successfully, even though sequalink tests
the DSN out okay and says everything is cool and froody.
Sigh... anyhow you ActivePerl people can pick up that MSSQL module here:
http://www.cpan.org/modules/by-category/07_Database_Interfaces/MSSQL/
Cheers,
Jamz.
