I suspect he's asking how to set up something like a search engine that returns the first 10 matches on the first request, then the next 10 matches, etc. Hence the engimatic subject, '1-10, 11-20'. This is a fairly common design, so a search of the archives or the newsgroups, or a site like perlmonks.org, would probably turn up some useful information.
