DBI/DBD-Oracle install on Solaris - compiler necessary?

I'm interested in installing DBI and DBD-Oracle on a Sparc Solaris 2.8
machine, but the system does not have cc or gcc installed.  Is there
still a way to get these modules installed?  Is there a binary
distribution available somewhere?
