Sorry Michael,

I am just hitting reply.

The OS is RH 8.0 - Apache Server

The goal is to port an ancient FoxPro db to the net via perl cgi.

DBD::xBase seems like a natural but I am not opposed to porting the data
to a different format to improve it's usability.

My time with perl has been limited (no kidding).

I keep fearing that I am slipping down a rabbit hole.

There is something very fundamental to adding the DBI-DBD module I am
missing.

I'll surf around some more before I waste anymore bandwidth.

Elvis

Please keep the replies on list. I am not the sole source of all
wisdom.

Search for perl-dbi and perl-dbd-oracle in rpmfind.
http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/

It would be easier to help if you tell us ahead of time what OS, RDBMS,
and
versions you are using. See the URL in my signature for more things
that
could help.
