Problems with DBD perl module.

I have installed perl5.8 and the DBI module.

I tried to run the 
nmedit -R ./hints/macos_lib.sys $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libclntsh.dylib

I get the following error
nmedit: symbols names listed in: ./hints/macos_lib.syms not 
in :$ORACLE_HOME/lib/libclntsh.dylib
_dlclose
_dlsym

I am running Mac OSX 10.2 and Oracle 9.2

Any help would be appreciated.
