I thought the inspiration for this module started because of Sybase connectivity. If you're only going to try to accomodate 90% of all of the databases, then you're just going to get another guy out there that wants to fix the remaining 10%. I work with Oracle 91 RAC databases myself.

My comment was not meant to say "lets shoot for 90% and be happy with it", but "getting something that will work for 90% of the installations should be a piece of cake" and the other 10% shouldn't be that hard to extend things to deal with.


Either way, does this traffic need to be replicated on both dbi-users and
module-authors??  I would think the DBI list would supercede the other.

I only heard about this because it was on module-authors but I'm on dbi-users now too. I removed module-authors from the cc list as requested.
