Hi Mac-DBI's,
has anyone of you resolved the problem with ___divdi3 symbol missing?
Hope you can help

I don't know much about macs but I think divdi3 is a function in gcc to
implement 64bit division on non-64bit platforms. You can find it in
libgcc.a. If you use gcc to link it should add libgcc.a, but if you use
ld to link then you need to know to add libgcc.a (e.g., look at what gcc
-v outputs for a link).
Perhaps it would be best if you a) provided what perl -V outputs and b)
showed the last lines of the make that fail (including the last build
command).

Subject: Re: Mac OS-X, Oracle and Activestate....
That would be a very hard one for me to resolve as I do not have a Mac to
test on.
Try posting it on the list again

Hi John,
it seems to be at least better, but when making test, it stops missing a
gcc-lib??

Do you have an idea?
Thanx in advance

The latest Trunk version of DBD::Oracle may have a fix for this
you will have to install it yourself and you can find it here
http://svn.perl.org/modules/dbd-oracle/trunk/DBD-Oracle-123-RC4.tar

You can easily install instantclient on Intel Mac.
After that, it's possible to install DBD::Oracle from CPAN.
2009/3/27 Kai Schwermann <[email protected]>:
Hi DBI-Fans,
i'm getting crazy trying to install DBD::Oracle 1.22 with Activestate
Perl
5.10 and Oracle Instantclient 10.1 (Intel).
Is there any good way to get this running? The old instantclient was
only
ppc, and all tricks on the net seem to solve
this problem, but no one had the opposite problem...
Hope you have a clue
Thanks in advance
Kai
