Where did you get the ppd from? I don't see any PPMs listed here: http://cpan.uwinnipeg.ca/search?query=dbd-sybase&mode=dist
I do have DBD::Sybase working with 5.10 on Unix, so it does work. On Windows I can't compile it due to no client library, so I use ODBC.
