Hey, Sorry I've been out for so long! I was mentoring with my old high school's Robotics team like three weeks ago... then they made nationals two weeks ago... and then I got caught up doing all kinda of !dbmail stuff last week.
I'll have to find a link to pictures and/or stats. It's a really nice robot, especially given how it came in *dead last* in its division :-P So I'm back this week, and will get to hunting down the parsing bug and what I suspect is a bug with reading in nul characters improperly. Basically I think we'll just need to switch to fread in read_header and insert_messages so that we get the number of characters read returned to us instead of using strlen which stops at the first nul.
