Hello ML,

Sorry I hope this is not off-topic here and sorry for my bad english. I have a
question in connection with how does it works.

At the webpage I found the sentence:

"The MTA hands the messages over to dbmail-smtp, using a pipe interface ... "

My question is: When is the massages handed to dbmail? I mean following. A
mail come from the Internet via SMTP to my host. Then the message is given to
dbmail via SMTP. Is this that you mean? And second: If I send a message with
my client (like KMAIL) to my Mailserver (SMTP Server with Postfix), will this
mail handed to dbmail to? Is the message I sent with my client also in the
Database after sending via SMTP to Postfix? Or have I to go an alternative
way, because I want to store my sent Messages in the database too. Is it
possible?

The next Problem in Understanding I have is following. I want to use fetchmail
to get my Post via POP3 from T-Online (my Provider). These mails should also
be sent to postfix for local delivery. Give postfix it to dbmail? Or is it
possible to configure fetchmail to work with dbmail directly?

Thank you,
regards,
        Sven
