Mozilla works fine.
This seems to be due to the differing ways that each client asks for a list of all message uids in a particular inbox. Sylpheed sees all the mailboxes, but (usually) fails to see the presence of any messages. Sylpheed uses a SELECT INBOX UID SEARCH UID 1:* to look for messages. This works OK with WU-imap and Dovecot.
