Description: I tried to rebuild folder list in sylpheed-claws. This gehts the folders and all message headers of each message.
When I try to do this, dbmail-imapd wants more and more memory. It eats all of my 512MB RAM and 1GB swap! All my eMail on imap Server are in whole smaller than 100MB... I've tried sylpheed and sylpheed-claws. Vanilla sylpheed is no problem at all. S-claws does indeed retrieve just about *all* messageheaders from all subscribed folders. Yuk!!! Severe pounding of dbmail and the sql backend. But I don't see any leakage from dbmail-imapd. Memory usage stays at roughly 9% on my dual-xeon 512MB devel box for the imap daemon involved. I would need TRACE_LEVEL=5 logs for any kind of sensible advise, but such logs would quickly run into the megabytes. Same here, when I download bigger mail folders, it's the same as with sylpheed-claws. With bigger I mean bigger in size rather than more messages... Don't know wheter it is important, but I installed gmime since I updated from released dbmail.
