[Dbmail-dev] Implementing a new db backend

Hi,

I've had a quick search through the list, and haven't found much on this 
topic...

Yesterday afternoon I sat down and added enough MySQL MaxDB (was SAP DB) 
code to dbmail-2.0.3 to get things to build, and for dbmail-util to run 
against an empty database. Before I get carried away, I figure that the 
2.0 series won't get that kind of change, so would it be more 
appropriate to work against the 2.1 branch? Any suggestions/objections 
about this project?
