the problem with mozilla seems to happen in case of large mailboxes. the
strange thing is: it CAN happen (not always) that an emails stays "unread"
after being read. this happens especially when i jump around between
various mailboxes inside one mozilla / tb. i did not find a "rule" for
this behaviour yet but it seems to happen more often when dealing with
brand new mails.
I have seen this too while using TB. I read a message, or mark it read
and TB shows it as read, then when I go to a different folder, and then
come back to the original folder, the message(s) that were marked read
and now showing in TB as unread again. I don't know why it happens
exactly, but when it does happen nothing I do will mark these message as
read until I delete them or move them to another folder. Don't know if
that helps at all but....
