Did some work making more sense of trace levels. I'm not sure if more tweaking might be needed, ideas welcome. Here's the new setup:
TRACE_LEVEL: zapped. throws a message for old config files, and ignores whatever value you have and just uses the defaults. TRACE_SYSLOG: 0-5, determines what goes to the syslog. default 2. TRACE_STDERR: 0-5, determines what goes to stderr. default 0. These can be set in [DBMAIL], and optionally overridden in the service sections. Different trace levels for different services is now possible. Ok, happy new year everyone! Aaron
