It's the kernel that's resisting kill-9, and nothing special about what the process is doing. But that reminds me... There once was a proc in state D which just couldn't get over to Z kill() as we might, we wait()ed for night, and resorted to reboot -d -- Internet Connection High Quality Web Hosting http://www.internetconnection.net/
