great. Debian's lintian always keeps complaining about the missing
manpages for the sieve binaries....

sounds right to me.

The idea was to generate a machine readable format to integrate better
with  shell scripts and the likes. Having a similar provision for
external forwards would be just as useful.

Perhaps we could revive something like the human readable form in 2.0
and before when the -v switch is used.
