I've wired up the SOCKETLIB variable to close bug #489. I'd like
confirmation from metalchaos and from Lars, since he says he has Solaris
boxes hanging around ;-)

I realized that #474 might be as easy as calling mailbox_remove_namespace
on the pattern arg to mailboxes_by_namespace -- I'll look tonight to see
if that work can be done in an evening, including a pile of test cases,
otherwise let's save it for later.

Thursday sounds like a good target, let's go for it!
