But as far as the vanilla debian packaging was concerned they had a
point: libldap is in the base-system already, and libsieve and sqlite
are puny libs. They preferred the limited bloat of the base packages
over the bloat of the Packages file. This also means that people apt-get
installing dbmail will (in the hopefulle near future) get a working
system right away.

but at least dbmail is now back again in debian/unstable so all the
archs supported by debian will also become available.
