It's in the dbmail.conf file: # Host for database, set to localhost if database is on # the same host as dbmail and you want to use a local # socket for connecting. # host = localhost Don't know why though. About leaving the sqlport blank was my own discovery, though this might not be the case with 2.3 any more.
