While on the surface things appear to work smoothly, there is some inexplicable behavior on some operations if the database and the dbmail binary are on different machines. Everything works fine as long as the packets do not leave the host. I can reliably reproduce this with dbmail-util as shown below. I get similar errors (same message "...for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1..." different SELECT query) with dbmail-smtp insertion for *some* messages. There seems to be no corelation between message size and failure. ======================================================================
