In short: please backport the fix in commit 81dcefd[2] and release stable DBMail 2.2.18. This is a grave bug. It frequently fills up /tmp and dbmail has to be restarted. Marked it as a blocker as the fix really has to make it into 2.2.18. Setting a low MAXCONNECTS (like 100) to force frequent respawns of dbmail-imapd childs does not help to mitigate this.
