Your not including any information about the actual breakage, what's wrong with the message after forwarding, when exactly it occurs, what your MTA setup is, or any other details about actually reproducing your problem. Forwarding does not entail any kind of re-formatting or re-assembling of messages. Maybe the message was malformed and GMime couldn't parse it to begin with. Maybe dot-stuffing lines starting with dots is messed up somewhere. Too many maybe's.
