Becki, The standard SuSE 8.1 kernel had several problems with it (I personally noticed problems with IRQ's and system hangs, but I know there were other bugs). An updated kernel was released. Make sure you are running the *fixed* kernel. Also 8.2 was sooo much better than 8.1, it may be worth upgrading to 8.2. Just a thought. Cheers! Chris
